Once the data has been captured on the handheld, a synchronisation process transfers all data collected since the last synchronisation to the hTrak Web Server.

Synchronising the hand-held computers, can be done using:

  • Wireless connection. The hand-held computer used by hTrak (currently the Symbol MC75) supports a wireless connection if available (IEEE 802.11b/g).

  • Docking the hand-held in a USB cradle connected to a desktop PC with Internet access. A docking cradle is also available to facilitate 'wired' communications.

  • Using the 3G Wireless Broadband Networks. All the hTrak mobile devices come with a locked down 3G SIM card for transmission of data to the hTrak Web Server only.
