hTrak - Point of Use Data Capture technology specifically designed for the healthcare environment
Device Classification at Procedure Level PDF  | Print |  E-mail

hTrak now has the unique ability to manage device classification on the fly at the procedure level. As an example, staff may be faced with the very real possibility that they may be using a device which is hospital stock but may also have cause to use an additional device which may have been brought into the Lab or Theatre by a company representative. Staff can simply scan the second device and change the classification to L (as an example) for Loan Stock. Once synchronised, this classification can be used to trigger business processes designed to handle these devices appropriately. The number and definition of these classifications is managed at an individual client level.

hTrak has the complete CMBS/ICD10 code database available for allocation in the procedure code data entry field. Alternatively, the department can allocate their own procedure codes to track activity according to a meaningful grouping of procedures or a single procedure. This becomes extremely useful across an enterprise when comparing costs across a wide range of facilities and personnel.
