At the point where we scan or otherwise collect the unique patient identifier, you have the opportunity to use one of the drop-down boxes to identify the status of the patient, for example, Public, Private, DVA or indeed, select the actual health fund if you want to include these in the list. Any patient identified as private can then be included in a procedures report which identifies, by individual patient procedure, all their costs including devices, labour and if appropriate, an overhead component. Any applicable Prosthesis Rebate Codes are identified in the report along with the min/max benefits incorporated in the new prostheses schedule.
