Prosthesis Rebate Code Collection PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The accurate allocation of Prostheses rebate codes to a supplier’s product code is an important component of the hTrak product master data set. Because the HIC only allocates Prostheses rebate codes to a supplier’s family of products, hTrak relies on the Australian supplier of the device for the accurate allocation of the code at a supplier product code level.

There are three levels of data integrity in relation to the identification of Prostheses rebate codes:

  • High. This state occurs when hTrak has received written verification from the Australian supplier. This information can be provided in a variety of forms but must clearly and unequivocally identify the Prostheses rebate code at the Supplier Product Code level.
  •  Medium. This state occurs where hTrak is unable to obtain written verification of the Prostheses Rebate code relationship to their supplier product codes but through an interpretation of the HIC Prostheses listing, hTrak is able to make a reasonable and educated guess on the allocation of Rebate codes at the supplier product code level.
  •   Low. This state occurs when all reasonable endeavours by hTrak staff have failed to obtain written verification of Prostheses codes from a supplier and an assessment of the Prostheses listing is unclear and no reasonable assumptions can be made in terms of the allocation of Prostheses codes to supplier product codes. In this instance, the product master data from these suppliers will NOT include any Prostheses rebate code information.

In the case of both the Medium and the Low states, hTrak accepts NO responsibility for the correct allocation of Prostheses Rebate codes to the supplier product codes OR the accuracy of any reports incorporating device consumption relating to Prostheses Rebate devices for those suppliers.

When Medium and Low Prostheses data integrity states occur in relation to any devices on a clients inventory profile, written notification of this situation will be communicated to the nominated person for that particular client.
