For some time, hTrak has provided clients with the ability to incorporate a time out and surgical safety check list within the procedure capture process. We can now provide clients with the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist as a standard template in the handheld data capture profile. In the case of UK clients, this can be made available in the standard format approved by the NPSA for England and Wales.

The completion of this template can be mandated by a client as part of the handheld data collection profile. Management can even mandate the point in the procedure when this should be carried out. A complete audit for each procedure is available, identifying when these questions were completed and by whom.
